How many you remember the Yongsan Provost Marshall aka MP Station right inside the main gate on the Main Post?

SEA STORY!
In 1973 or 1974….me and two friends…I won’t mention any names to protect the innocence! LOL. Anyway we decided to go camping….

And WHERE did we decide to go camping…the grassy hill area next to the gym on main post….it was next to the road leading out the back gate (Gate 2) to Camp Coiner….

If you remember back then…there was a curfew at midnight….you had to be off the streets…well my friends and I thought if we were on base and in our tent…we wouldn’t get in trouble…
Well around…..12:30 am…..we were horsing around outside our tents and was climbing this tree next to the gym….when all of a sudden…we see this Army Jeep with it’s blue lights on pull up next to the hill…

These two Tall Army MP’s get out of the jeep and they walked over to us and asked us in a very stern manner what we were doing and who we were….
We told them our names and said we were camping….they said your camping adventure was over due to curfew and told us to pack up and get in the jeep….
I thought…Oh oh….we are in trouble now!
We climbed into the jeep and they took us to the Provost Marshall aka MP station…..

Long story short…we didn’t get in trouble….they let us camp out in the station…so my friends and I stayed up all night and played tag and hide and seek in the MP station….the MP’s even made us Ham and Cheese sandwiches….LOL!

I do remember they had one guy in their cell…he was a civilian probably around 18 years of age…and he was passed out. He looked like a hippy! LOL! The MP’s said he was drunk and they were letting him sleep it off…
Around 6 am…the MP’s gave us a ride home…all three of us lived in Itaewon….my mom and dad was surprise that I was home so early….LOL!

That was my brush with the law! LOL!
Those were some awesome times!
