Thanksgiving in Korea , 1958.   Children from the Orphanage were invited to the 570th (Niblo Barracks)near lunch time.   In our mess hall, there were small, round tables.  Two G.I.’s and two Korean children were seated at each table on Thanksgiving day. The children did seem to enjoy this and having the kids there did add a , back home, feeling for the G.I.’s.

There is a nostalgia feeling as I remember this.  Same was done for Christmas.  I can’t help but wonder what kind of life theses kids had?
