SynchronicityWe are cooking today & taking the whole meal to a cabin & campsite to a remote part of the Cali coast tomorrow ! All together! Those pies have hired body guards We are having waves of Deja Vu, as we remember another Thanksgiving that we transported the meal, ha:
One of our favorite Thanksgiving’s, but there are many, was in Korea, My mom made us (Bill and friends) our own meal and we took it on the train down to Taejon Beach, I mean whole turkey and all the fixings along with a cherry pie! How did we do that? We were going camping, but when we got there, it was snowing a LOT, so we rounded up stuff and made a fire and before we knew it, a Korean family from the little village area on the beach-this was the early 70’s, told us to come inside their home! We accepted this gracious offer, along with our meal and we all shared Thanksgiving, along with Korean food and goodies, hot tea, Mateus wine, some other body warming beverages and we experienced such a shared gift of friendship! We spent the night or two with them, all cozy and tightly fitted. We made a snowman on the beach and watched the waves take it away! Will we ever know who these people were? Do they remember that special time? We regret that we didn’t have room for the camera on this trip:) The memories are vivid, tho!
Now, all these years later, we are taking the steps, along with memories
Thanking my lucky stars each and every day. It is such an honor to be a human being:)
Thanksgiving Blessings everyone!
